James Wilson illustration

Check out these beautiful images by Bristol-based illustrator James Wilson. I think the level of detail is incredible and love the strong graphical effect.

"I used to draw all the time when I was really young, making little story books and when I got a bit older I used to draw my own comics. I used to read 2000AD (a British weekly Sci-fi comic) a lot, and my Dad knew a couple of the artists who worked for them. I even had drawing lessons from one of them for a while. Seeing their studios and the way they worked really made an impression on me and that's what made me realise I wanted to be an illustrator."

unisex

These are some unedited images from my latest photoshoot, for which I styled four unisex outfits: indie, tailored, classic and punk. I think these styles are applicable to both men and women, and are timeless wardrobe staples.

Thanks to my model, Stephanie Philpotts.

Asian beauties

As someone of half Filipino descent, I was pleased to read Vogue June 2011's article on 'The arrival of the Asian supermodels'. I think it's great that designers are using models from a wider variety of ethnic backgrounds and entirely caucasian catwalks are becoming less common.

Emma by Elliot and Erick Jimenez

I am absolutely in love with this image, shot by Elliot and Erick Jimenez for Material Girl. The flowers in the hair are so edgy yet feminine, and the pretty, flushed make up perfectly balances and compliments the hair. Find the rest of the shoot here.

dancing and sparkling

Last night my fellow fashionistas and I went out and danced until our feet were throbbing, and I wore a sequin top from a vintage shop, skirt from H&M, black tights from M&S and suedette platforms from New Look. I'm also wearing a fishtail plait, a style which I absolutely love.

circus

These are a few images from my most recent photoshoot, for which I styled and photographed Lara Dumbleton's graduate collection. Thanks to Carina Da Luz for modelling and Megan Marks for hair and makeup. Shoes from Irregular Choice, £80. I was inspired by Javier Vallhonrat and Tim Walker for their themes of serenity and fantasy. At the moment they are unedited.
